Workers' Comp Rules Changing for Contractors Certain independent contractor forms no longer need to be filed with TWCC by personal delivery or by registered or certified mail. (TWCC-81,82,83,84, and 85) Instead, the general contractor must maintain the original form and file a legible copy with the Comp carrier and TWCC within 10 days of the date of execution.
